What next for Robert Whittaker and Petr Yan?

Robert Whittaker

Talking about Robert Whittaker, now he has faced 2 consecutive losses. One he lost to Khamzat through submission in which Robert Whittaker’s jaw was dislocated. After that loss, he fought today which he lost due to unanimous decision. Now talking about a new opponent, I think Robert Whittaker can be given a fight with Adesanya because Adesanya has also taken 2 back-to-back losses.

  • One loss was on February 1, 2025 UFC Fight Night to Imavov in which Imavov knocked out Adesanya in round 2. This was Adesanya’s second career knockout. First knockout was from Alex Pereira.
  • Second loss of Adesanya was on August 17, 2024 UFC 305 to Du Plessis in which Du Plessis submitted Adesanya in round 4 and retained his belt.

That is why now Robert Whittaker vs Adesanya can be the next match and many UFC fans also want to see this match and this will also be a money fight.

Petr Yan

Petr Yan is now on a 4-fight winning streak and after today’s fight win, Petr Yan said on the mic that he wants a title shot against Merab. Fans also say that Yan has proven it and now he should be given a title shot. UFC might not give Yan the title shot right now. First, they might set up a match between Yan vs Umar in the Bantamweight division. Whoever wins that match will challenge Merab for the Bantamweight title shot.

Because recently some news was coming out that Umar is ready to return to the UFC fight ring.
